In response to mainstream schools who feel there is a need for physical intervention training (without restraint) in their setting, I will be offering DSPL area training in the summer term.

Physical Intervention training is to support children safely when guiding and escorting without the need for RESTRAINT.

This training is for Therapeutic Thinking Tutors ONLY, who can then cascade the training to staff in their setting within their own audit of need. If tutors have already had this training as part of their tutor course, they are welcome to book on to have their skills refreshed.

The training will be 1.5 hours in duration and of a physical nature.

The training is currently free of charge.

The details for the training in your DSPL are as follows:

Date and Time: Monday 20th May 3.30-5pm

Location: Stevenage ESC, Collenswood Road, Stevenage SG2 9HQ

Please email Vanessa Bradford on steps@hertfordshire.gov.uk to book a space. Only tutors who have booked in advance can complete this training. Places are limited.

Many Thanks
