​NESSie

DSPL2 have commissioned NESSie for 4 days of therapy each week across DSPL2 schools. The aim is to provide children and young people with mental health needs with access to 1:1 therapeutic support to reduce the impact of early childhood trauma, divorce/separation, abuse, anxiety, grief, peer relationships, low mood and domestic abuse.

DSPL2 schools can make a referral for support through the NESSie website.

NESSie :

  • support to schools in developing a strategic plan for Emotional and Mental Health.
  • organise/offer training for schools and settings.
  • on-going support and supervision to staff.
  • link with key outside agencies.
  • communicate schools’ needs to leading commissioners.
  • have quality assured Counsellors, Art and Drama Therapists to work in schools.
  • organise and support parent training events.
  • are part of DSPL2  6/7 transition programme.
  • join DSPL2 solution circles each half term.
