The purpose of Delivering Specialist Provision Locally (DSPL) is to ensure that the needs of children and young people with Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND) are met as locally as possible with parents, schools, settings, and services working in co-production to make more effective use of available resources.

DSPL directly delivers activity that is aligned with Hertfordshire County Council’s SEND Strategy (2022 - 2025), the overall SEND Strategy Ambitions and Hertfordshire’s Priority Action Plan and Improvement Plan (December 2023)

Delivering Specialist Provision Locally (DSPL) Area Groups will implement the objectives of the SEND Strategy and Priority Action Plan and Improvement Plan (December 2023 locally and commission provision that is tailored to meet the needs of their local area.
